AuxMod Basic
AuxMod Basic is a complete system for getting accessory audio line-in into your Mazda double din Radio. For easy Aux line in audio this is really the simplest choice. AuxMod Basic functions by pressing the "Tape/MD" or "Media" button on your Mazda radio. We've successfully tested with the RX-8, Mazda6, Mazda5, Mazda3, Miata, MPV, Tribute and Mazda2.
The unit plugs into the module bay for the factory Tape & MD modules inside the Head Unit.
We have completed our third production batch of AuxMod Basic modules. They are IN STOCK.
Included with the module is:
-AuxMod Basic circuit board
-Adhesive Foam attachment
-Two plastic zip-ties
Not included, but also reccomended:
-Audio Cable, 3.5mm stereo male plug one end, other end to suit your application
-Ground Loop Isolator (optional, see FAQ #12 for notes)

AuxMod Advanced Beta
This unit is not available for sale yet.
The new version of the unit has had several changes to reduce manufacturing costs and improve the functionality of the unit in various ways:
1/Surface mount parts are now extensively used wherever possible for reduced manufacturing costs.
2. The circuit board outline has been designed to either use a customized bracket, or to fit directly into the factory Tape Module housing.
3. The Audio-Input jack has been changed to a 3.5mm Stereo mini plug to eliminate the need for a RCA to mini-plug adapter. For those who still want RCA plugs, a mini-plug to RCA adapter can be used.
4. A new power supply control has been implemented to allow the device to send out a special status message to indicate that ignition has been turned off. The enables control for automatic stopping of external mp3 playback.
